HKSA was established in 2016 and has organized Hong Kong Amatuer MMA (Shooto) Championship seven times along the period, with two major events every year (summer & winter), andover 200 athletes participated and some of the division champions represented Hong Kong to participate All Japan Amatuer Shooto Championship in Japan, as well as representing HK to compete in Taiwan and Malaysia for other amateur MMA events. MMASAHKC is currently co-operating with the worldwide MMA sports leader UFC’s UFC Performance Institute (UFC-PI) at Shanghai for a short term training program for the selected MMASAHKC athletes, to further improve the levels of athletes in different aspects..
