MMA | Hong Kong MMA Championship concluded with 6 gold belt champions

【Sportsroad News】 Hong Kong Mixed Martial Arts Championship 2024 concluded on Sunday, the 15th, at Kowloon City Plaza, producing a total of 6 belt champions. Among them, Hong Kong team members Chung Pui Wing and Lee Chun Lam clinched the champion and runner-up titles in the men's featherweight belt match at 65.8 kilograms. They immediately proceeded to Shanghai for training to enhance their skills in preparation for frequent upcoming matches and challenges at the Asian Games in the next two years.

The event was organized by The Mixed Martial Arts Sports Association of Hong Kong, China (MMASAHKC) aiming to provide audiences with a showcase of technical skills and exciting battles in MMA. The goal is to develop MMA into a sport that aligns with the Olympic spirit, integrating technicality, safety, and sustainability, thus allowing more people in Hong Kong to appreciate the unique charm of MMA.

The championship featured a total of 6 belt matches. After winning the men's featherweight belt at 65.8 kilograms, Hong Kong team member Chung Pui Wing, along with his opponent Lee Chun Lam, immediately headed to the UFC Performance Institute in Shanghai for a training camp arranged in collaboration with MMASAHKC and UFCPI. By training at world-class facilities, working with top teams, and practicing alongside elite professional MMA fighters, they aim to significantly enhance their skills to meet the challenges of upcoming matches and the Asian Games in the next two years.
