HKSA was established in 2016 and has organized Hong Kong Amatuer MMA (Shooto) Championship seven times along the period, with two major events every year (summer & winter), andover 200 athletes participated and some of the division champions represented Hong Kong to participate All Japan Amatuer Shooto Championship in Japan, as well as representing HK to compete in Taiwan and Malaysia for other amateur MMA events.

MMASAHKC targes to arrange one Hong Kong Championship event and one International Championship event annually, and the association will determine the Hong Kong Team members by the results from these two2 events.

During 2023, Athletes of MMASAHKC competed in the Asian MMA Championship hosted at Thailand in August 2023, and captured one Bronze and one Silver Medal after three days of competition.
